Chance number 3 to secure a spot in Vegas. Much like the previous month’s event I couldn’t figure out how to play golf. The rating and slope at Sunridge aren’t that daunting and from the whites it is less than 6000 yards. However, this course has had my number every time I have played it.
Golf has been difficult for me this year. Maybe I’m trying too hard to adjust things in my swing. Maybe I’m thinking too much. My swing feels fine, but there’s no consistency in my ball flight. Last year I had a bit of a fade in my shots. This year there’s a fade, then a hook. I can’t predict what’s going to happen once the club hits the ball. I’m also hitting a lot of fat shots. To say I’m frustrated is an understatement.
My poor ball striking led to another below average outing at an MGA event. I finished 15th for a meager $.04. With 5 events left I find myself barely in the top 20 and on the outside looking in for my shot at redemption in Vegas. The F.U. Open is up next at my home course. Hopefully, I can get some shit figured out.
